Site Design
Technology Associates has extensive knowledge utilizing the different built-in features of SharePoint and configuring them for our different customer’s needs. Before our customers can create a SharePoint site, they need to think about the following: logo, tag line, color palette, images, and other company requirements. Once the design elements have been identified, Technology Associates can begin a prototype for the SharePoint design. Utilizing our customer’s requirements, our staff can customize SharePoint’s navigation, content, and overall functionality to meet our customer’s needs. Additionally, we have integrated our customer’s SharePoint sites with 3rd party applications or web parts and have developed web parts internally in order to meet requirements that go beyond SharePoint out-of-the-box functionality. Technology Associate’s staff also provides training to customers so they can then manipulate the SharePoint site to meet their ever-changing needs.
Some examples of our site design are listed below:
Some examples of our site design are listed below:
- Document workspace sites created using SharePoint 2007, take advantage of platform features by providing a document collaboration space. Documents can be reserved by individual users for updating purposes. Document changes can then be tracked and assigned different version numbers for auditing and rollback.
- Customizations can be made to a site in a Web browser by dragging Web Parts onto personal or public pages. In addition, themes can be applied utilizing a browser.
- A user or site manager can add an alert to a list or list item so that they receive an e-mail notification when changes are made.
- Custom workflows can be setup to automate manual business processed. For instance, Managers can approve or reject an InfoPath Purchasing Order Request Form in SharePoint. The manager notified would be based on the employee selected and the amount of the order entered. Once the manager approved the request, the purchasing department would be notified of the approval and can go ahead and order the item. The requestor would then be notified once the item was approved and ordered.
